The Business Coalition has a strong focus on improving the competitiveness of both our province and  our local businesses. Of course competitiveness means different things to different people and can be measured in many ways.

The Strategic Partnership commissioned a study of our province's competitiveness and compared our province to other Canadian provinces, some US states and some European countries.

Critical areas of interest that this study highlighted were investment capital, labour relations, labour market development, transportation infrastructure and taxation. Much of the work of the Business Coalition and the Strategic Partnership over the past few years has focused on these key areas.
